Hi, depends if same -bit! I would take a look at Wolfman's post-install guide which refers to this - not sure how well it would fare with the new 9! My personal preference is backup of /home and fresh install! ;)

I've already got /home on a different partition so that will be safe and I suppose some of the software that I've installed, like VLC, is included in Ultimate anyway. oh well, one way to find out :)
