Hello, new member here. After previewing several Linux OS I decided to try Zorin and installed it this morning from the CD drive. Unfortunately,it hung up at the very end when it tried to restart the system.I have rebooted two times and each time it appears as though the OS wants to finish loading but stalls each time after I enter my logon info. It then goes to a black screen and does nothing.
If this has been a problem in the past I did not see it in the previous posts so any help would be most appreciated.
Thank you

Suggest you google RUFUS and create your bootable CD or flash drive using the RUFUS software. I had similar problems until I used RUFUS free software. I used it for ZORIN 8 and then ZORIN 9 with no problems.

Some questions for you.

1. You downloaded from the official link or from sourceforge directly:

http://sourceforge.net/projects/zorin-os/files/9/

2. You used Firefox or Opera 12.16 to download the iso.

3. You checked the md5 sum of the downloaded .iso before burning to DVD:

Go to veoh.com - search for 'swarfendor437' and look for my video on md5sum check using winmd5free from http://winmd5.com

There could be a graphics issue that may require changes to your boot parameters by pressing the 'Tab' key at boot time:

Code:
acpi=off nolapic xforcevesa
