I cannot get Zorin 9 to boot from my USB

I have read information on this topic elsewhere, and have installed Zorin multiple times using many different installers. The problem I am running into is that when I go into my PC's BIOS and set the boot configuration to allow it to boot from the USB it tells me that there is nothing bootable on the USB drive. My computer does not have a DVD drive as it is a ASUS Vivo PC, so installing and running Zorin off of a USB stick is the only way I have to use it.

My goal is, once I get this running, is to install it to my computers hard drive permanently so that I can choose whether to boot into windows or into zorin.

Any advice or solutions are appreciated.

did you fully format the USB stick prior to putting Zorin OS on it?:
