Hi guys, been busy all day trying to install zorin.. Pretty bummed out by it. I tried everything, I tried a dvd, wouldnt boot, I only had 1 dvd so I tried usb, all kinds of methods(the one on the zorin site, other methods on other forums), the usb booted untill the splash screen and then gave me all kinds of errors.. Finally I tried to format the usb to ntfs in stead of the recommended fat32. And now it doesn't boot at all but just gives me one simple error: boot mgr missing. This error made me feel a bit happy because it seemed like a simple sollution could fix this. However I could not find one... And yes I've downloaded the iso 100 times with 4 different browsers.. help!!!?? losing my mind here.. :(

1) Download Gparted Live (it's a live boot CD)
http://superb-sea2.dl.sourceforge.net/p ... .9.0-7.iso

2) Delete the computer's hard drive parition.

3) Reformat the hard drive.

4) On another computer, download Zorin OS Core 3.1 32-bit - NOT any other version. 3.1 is more stable because it's based on Ubuntu 10.04LTS. http://distro.ibiblio.org/pub/linux/dis ... ore-32.iso

5) Boot the Zorin OS and run it live first, then if all goes well, install.

6) Report findings back in this thread please.

When you burnt the ISO; did you do so at the slowest possible speed, burning ISO's at max speed can create error's.
