Just installed Zorin 9 Core 32bit onto a clean hard drive from a usb. After loading all the files and asking me to restart, which I did, it asks me for my password the password seems to be accepted, the screen goes dark and no boot. The bios is set to 1st boot from hhd.
Hope somebody can help,
Saxon

Hi Swarfendor,
Had a look on the manual and done everything on the installation. When I put my password in (page 15) that's as far as I get the screen goes blank and the desktop does not load.
Cheers Saxon

Hi, I suspect your notebook does not have sufficient RAM (memory). You should try Zorin Life instead.

Hi,
It has, to be exact 2 sticks of 128mb. On the zorin spec it gives 512mb of ram as being acceptable for older machines.
Many thanks for all your help.

Hi,
Forgot to mention, when I first downloaded Zorin 9 I tried it before installing and noticed I had no sound at all. If I do install Lite and if still no sound what would I have to do to get sound?
