Hi, you should NOT HAVE PAID FOR THE DISC! - it is free to download and burn - I suspect the disc may not have been burned correctly - so you can't blame Zorin for that.
1. In Windows or GNU/Linux, only use Firefox to download and don't use any Download Accelerator Managers.
2. In Windows, check that the md5sum matches the one stated on the main website using 'winmd5free' from
http://winmd5.com.
In GNU/Linux, open a terminal and navigate to where the downloaded .iso is, and enter:
- Code:
md5sum zorin-os-9-lite-32.iso
and wait 20 or so seconds for the results to come back
If the md5sum returned does not match the official one you have a corrupt download
3. Burning in Windows - ONLY use imgburn from
https://ninite.comBurning in GNU/Linux with the Gnome DE launch Brasero FIRST - then select the .iso from the download location and make sure that burn speed is SLOWEST possible.
Burning in KDE (Konqueror Desktop Environment) - use ONLY k3b and again make sure set to burn at slowest speed.
4. If nothing shows you may need to invest in one of these:
