I installed Zorin OS and partitioned my hard drive but on start up i can't get back into windows 7. I followed all the instructions but it clearly didn't work out. Does anyone know how i can get back to windows or take Zorin off again?

Hi there looks like you may have messed up your bootloader please follow these steps:

YOU WILL NEED A RECOVERY DVD! (If you don't have one borrow one of a friend)

Put the CD in the the DVD drive and restart computer (most computers will boot from CD automatically)
When it all loads up click Repair Windows
Then next click use CMD (command prompt or something like that)

A black box should appear type the following

Bootrec.exe/fixmbr
Bootrec.exe/fixboot
Bootrec.exe/rebuildbcd

restart

Then from windows you should be able to remove the zorin partition

Good Luck!

bartlettaaron, had a similar problem. I used startup manager, its installed on Zorin OS by default. Find it in >start>administration>startup manager. You can also select your splash resolution and other settings at the same time. See if windows shows up in the list of OSes. Change to the windows boot loader as default and restart, you can always switch back afterwards.
