Fresh install now will mess up on desktop

I have installed zorin 3.1 32 bit os and it ran great. Then my friend picked it up
took it home and now the desktop jerks around even more if you move the mouse.

Does anybody know how to fix this?

Try doing doing a recovery from when you boot up or try log out when your windows and log back in
