Hi,
Is there anything wrong with "Software Updater" I have been suffering very slow downloads of only 20-30Kbs for 2 days and cant finnish installing software / it just takes far to long / I mean 12hours and only half way through / so I stop the process.
It,s also the same problem with "Synaptic P.M.
1) I have changed the download source to a nearer server but it makes no difference.
2) I am using a wired connection this works well on internet browsing / but still the same problem.
3) Is there a common reason for this problem / and is anyone else suffering the same.
4) I am in the U.K. if that makes any difference.

UPDATE:
Panic over it was a problem with the Modem/Router everything is running O.K. now.
I tried to delete this post just to tidy things up but I could not./ sorry for the false alarm.
