Zorin 9 lite network issue

Hello all, I am new to this forum and to the Zorin O/S. My Dell XPS M140 laptop's hard drive crashed on me before I could clone it and I did not have any reinstallation media so I installed Zorin 9 lite. I used the lite version because I really wasn't sure if the full version would work. After installation, the computer would connect to wireless networks just fine but now I'm having a problem. When I boot up, there is a dialog box that pops up telling me that wireless networks are available and to use the network menu to connect to them .But when I go into the network menu there is no tab for the wireless networks. There are only the tabs for general ,DNS and hosts. I have tried accessing the menu both through the start menu and the command line and even after putting in my admin password it still does not show the wireless tab. I have gone into the user and group settings and made sure the box for allowing connection to a wireless network was checked also. Can someone please tell me what to do to fix this? Thanks

First off:

1. Where did you get the .iso file from? Official site download?

2. Did you download it using Firefox - the recommended browser?

3. Did you have any Download Accelerator Manager app when downloaoding? this can corrupt the download!

4. Did you check the md5 sum before burning to DVD/ creating USB against the official md5 checksum?

5. Did you burn using (in Windows) imgburn and at the slowest possible speed? / Format the USB drive to FAT32 before installing the .iso to USB? :D
