Cannot get sound through internal speaker or microphone port

I've installed zorin on a eurocom panther 2.0, I can get sound through the HDMI port, but not from the internal speakers or the microphone port. I've tried installing pulseaudio based on the advice from other forums, but this didn't seem to work. I think maybe it doesn't recognize the hardware?

Any help would be appreciated
