single core running at 100% at startup

pentium 4 single core
id = PCV-RS314AP
SYSTEM = 'STABLE' BUT WHY IS IS USING 100 PERCENT before I RUN ANYTING. IT 'almost' is acting like windows. help please with this forum links and other advice appriciated this is my first zorin :)

You need to look at something like Zorin Lite - your rig is too underpowered even if maxed out at 1 Gb RAM you also have shared Graphics memory from main memory - if Zorin Lite too much try LXLE or slitaz. ;) :D
