Upgrade to Zorin 11 from 9

I currently have Zorin OS 9 installed and dual booted with LinuxLite 2.8. I want to upgrade to version 11 and keep LinuxLite. I read that I have to backup v9 and install v11. I have done a "full" backed up v9 using Simple Backup to a USB thumb-drive. So I believe that when I install v11 that I will have to delete (remove) v9 partition and install v11 into the same partition. Now, with everything being okay, what do I need to "restore" from the v9 backup in order get all the apps and such into v11?

I am not aware that you can just 'restore apps' only their settings which are usually hidden and preceded with a '.'. Wolfman wrote a full set of instructions on upgrades in the 'Post install upgrade' thread - its the first 'gloal' thread on the main board of the forum. ;) :D
