Hi everyone,

I was installing some programs and suddenly my sound on Youtube videos disappeared and mp3 playback in Rhythmbox become slowed down. Is there a way to fix sound drivers or something, or is it easier to just reinstall the whole system?

Thank you,

You did state in another thread that you installed an xfce app? That 'could' have caused it? ;) :D

Yes, i did install xfce4-appfinder. That's what probably caused it. The audio would not work, even after i uninstalled it. Live and learn. I have reinstalled Zorin OS. Audio works perfect now.
Any advice for future what not to install?

Stick to Gnome predominantly - that does not exclude KDE apps such as K3b (burner software) or KDEnlive (which Zorin include on Ultimate). I once installed 'lxde' in Zorin 6 and broke my desktop - lesson learned! I like to tinker now and again on a separate drive but not on my main install. ;) :D
