This is where you should go (I hate to say!
):
https://www.skype.com/en/download-skype ... for-linux/On the drop down box choose the latest release of ubuntu listed - 12.04. It is a multi-arch link so if you have 32-bit or 64-bit Zorin it will download the appropriate package - then install it with Gdebi.
Open a terminal and enter:
- Code:
sudo apt-get install gdebi
- you will be asked for your login password - but be careful as you won't see any dots or asterisks as you type - you get three attempts before it falls back to 'user' level from 'root' but you can repeat the command should this happen and so on - you can use the 'select all' above to copy to clipboard and paste into your terminal (Ctrl+ Alt+ T to launch 'Terminal').
After installation, go to where you downloaded the Skype .deb file, right-click it and select 'Open with other application...' and choose 'Gdebi' - this will report back if all dependencies are present, then click on the 'install' button.
