Hi there,

When i open the homefolder and go to Pictures or Documents there is no menubar.
How can i get the menubar?

Hi Hensyr, I think it got removed in 9 - most elements (but not necessarily the ones you are after) are contained in that 'cog' on the top right, with Viewing preferences linked to that 'down arrow' to the left of the cog. Do you have the left pane showing? ;) :D

the reason i need that menu bar is that i actually need to go into preferences where i can choose single click to activate items

for example:
if you want to open the folder documents you have to double click on it, i prefer a single click but i can't find the preferences of the file managment.

I hope you understand what i mean, just single click instead of double click :P

You are wonderfull person the preferences where i looking for are indeed in the cogwheel.

Hi, you need to install 'dconf-tools'. Open a terminal and enter:

sudo apt-get install dconf-tools


This will place 'dconf Editor' in to Menu | System Tools.

Launch the application and when you get to that location, double click on the field that says "double" and type in "single" (without the quotes).

You may need a reboot of your system for it to take effect. Keep us posted. ;) :D

[The wallpaper was a 'lucky-dip' using HD Wallpaper inside of Ubuntu Tweak - I was 'feeling lucky' :lol: ]
