How to uninstall Wine 1.9 from Zorin OS 9

I've tried several suggestions on other sites but the Wine files are still in /opt and I can't remove or delete them. :-(

Can you elaborate what you tried?

sudo apt-get purge wine

should do the job.

I've just uninstalled wine and PlayOnLinux from the software center.

If you have some configuration files left you can still manually delete them. Try

Code:: sudo find / -name wine*
