OK I have a new Acer Laptop . It has the new UEFI boot.
Does anyone know how to get a USB or SD card loaded with any other OS to boot up using this UEFI with win 10?

Hey Auldyn
Nope been there done that. Not so simple. It takes me to the screen, yes. and I click on where it says use a UEFI USB and it does nothing. I have also tried to disable the secure boot but I am unable to figure out how to do that. I have gone into the UEFI settings and even tried to make it scan the USB HDD And USB FDD But to no avail. I've read a few things online about the UEFI ANd it says that Ubuntu should be accepted but it will not even work there. Something about a certificate. Any help would be great. Thanks.

Hi rson

I wonder what app you are using to create your usb key ?
I use rufus https://rufus.akeo.ie/ with this i have successfully run Zorin and Peppermint without all the malarkey of changing UEFI settings in Windows 10

But you must have Fast Startup off because when its on Windows does not shut down but hibernates.
