PPPOECONF PROBLEM

Guis I have a problem since I moved on internet(cable).I run command: pppoeconf in terminal to connect then I run command: pon dsl-provide(to be sure that I activated the internet).All good and nice I can use the internet but...my linux sais that I am not connected to the internet and when I try to install Zorin I can't install updates while Zorin install's.What is wrong?Can you help me please?

(It keep's showing me this message:Disconected - you are now offline but I can use the internet to search the web.)

Slightly confused here - are you attempting two GNU/Linux OS running side by side - original then Zorin? :?
