Hi there,

Is it possible to make the system faster.
For example, start up Firefox browser or other applications.

If i want to start up Firefox, i have to wait about 4 to 5 seconds, can this be any faster?
Als other applications should react faster if that is possible.

Is there in general a way to work around on making Zorin OS 9 Core faster?

Hi Hensyr, 9 is based on Ubuntu 14.04 so these tips should assist:

http://www.hecticgeek.com/2012/06/few-t ... up-ubuntu/

http://sourcedigit.com/9702-speed-ubunt ... ntu-14-04/

http://www.pelagodesign.com/blog/2009/0 ... -a-laptop/ - but note I don't think metacity is present on Zorin 9 - this is a general Ubuntu article.

Keep us posted as to what worked best for you. ;) :D

Hey Swarfendor 437

Thanks for these tips.
Only this is not for starting applications running faster but the system itself.
I will give some of these tips a try like start-up applications to manage which applications to run at the system start-up. :P :) ;)
