Zorin OS Ultimate / help please

Hello everyone,
I would like to ask you for some help. Today i installed Zorin OS the free version, and after i installed the nVidia driver from the software center, after reboot i couldn't login again ( black screen only )
Do you think it's worth to buy the Zorin OS Ultimate ? What's the cons with Zorin OS Ultimate vs the free version ? Would i be able to have all the drivers i need ?
I mean soundcard - ASUS STX II, gpu - GTX 980 Ti, and so forth ?
Please give me some advices, thank you in advance

Hi, Drivers for any GNU/Linux are held in the kernel - if you updated the system it could be that the newer kernel has upset your settings - try this - when you boot up and the menu appears, select 'Advanced' then choose an older kernel (lower number) and see if that helps.
