Errors Installing MATE (Resolved)

I was wondering if anyone could assist with this issue:

Apparently there is a Zorin OS9 user like myself in the comments who states it is working great for him.

It may well work for the Zorin 9 user depending when he installed MATE and the Kernel installed at the time - Kernels depend on other packages and packages are dependent on libraries associated with the kernel - if packages don't get updated to meet the dependencies of the new kernel [name of package] will not be installable - simple as - A bit like a Windows 95 program not working in Windows 7 because software maintainers have not upgraded their software to the new OS. Kernels are produced by the GNU/Linux community, not Zorin.
