Zorin booting to BusyBox

Hello to Everyone here, I just joined.

I need your help to solve this problem.

i finished installing Zorin OS Core 9 alongside Windows 7 successfully but I made a mistake in choosing Boot from 1st Hard Disk when the Zorin DVD boot screen showed up again. Then the laptop went into command line mode showing BusyBox v1.21.1 (Ubuntu 1:1.21.0-1ubuntu1) built- in shell (ash)
Enter 'help' for a list of built-in commands.
(initramfs)

Not knowing what to do I forced a shutdown and then start booting again. From the grub boot loader menu I went into Windows 7 and after a few minutes I restarted the laptop chose Zorin from the grub menu. For a while it looks like it's booting up and then the BusyBox message appeared. Forced shut down.

Then I removed the grub menu with BootRec.exe /fixmbr booted directly into Windows 7 and went to delete the Zorin partition.

Installed Zorin again successfully but it booted into BusyBox again

Please help me remove BusyBox!

Thank you very much in advance!

Hi, First read this thread in its entirety:

https://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=2229307

Then take a look at my tutorial video how to dual-boot Windows 7 with Zorin 9 here:

https://vimeo.com/110085401

If you can't cope viewing the video, then read my written instructions here:

viewtopic.php?f=4&t=7981

Having read through the start of that thread you could have some 'unused' space on your hard drive that is causing the issue, or worst scenario, hard drive issues.

Keep us posted! ;) :D
