I installed Zorin 12 and I can't find a way to show icon shortcuts on the desktop and taskbar. I would like to put Thunderbird and Chromium icons on the desktop.

Hi, I don't think you can put icons on the desktop but you can add to the panel by opening the application then on the icon that appears in the panel, right-click and select 'add to favourites to make it stick to the panel. If you prefer to have icons on the desktop you could always install Cairo-Dock DE.

Hello, I was able to get application shortcuts on my desktop using the below method.
1 - Open 2 instances of Start Menu/Accessories/Files
2 - In one goto Home/Desktop and in the other goto Other Locations/Computer/usr/share/applications
3 - In the usr/share/applications window find an application and right click it and choose copy.
4 - In the Home/Desktop window right click and choose paste.
