Hi, I have two problems.
1.My (Zorin 9) will recognise normal USB sticks but not a multi card reader with a smartcard with DCIM picture files. Other linux distros read it no problem.
2. When using autoscroll on firefox it frequently goes grey screen, wont obey any command and continues to scroll to the bottom of the screen.

1. what card reader exactly is it, model and manufacturer? have you tried other cards sd and sdhc?
could you cp output of this command in terminal
sudo lsusb

2. Try disabling firefox addons one by one if you have this problem.

Hi, in respect of USB, whilst not pertaining to Ubuntu 14.04 on which Zorin is based, some useful advice here:

As for Firefox - do you have proprietary Graphics drivers installed? I found I had issues having the proprietary GNU/Linux drivers for nVidia - I much prefer the nouveau drivers.
