the problem i have is my windows appear too big for the screen i have tried changing the resolution and changed
the drivers but to avail i reinstalled the last time this happened and would like to avoid doing this again
my menu bar has disappeared and my close windows buttons are off the screen no matter what i do
any advice would be great for a newbi enjoying zorin

Not sure whatta h hashappened but could it be that the scaling is far off.
Press ctrl+alt+t to open terminal and type gnome-tweak-tool
look at the scaling. It should normally be 1 on a full hd monitor.

whats the output of xrandr -q ? What drivers did you install and from where etc.

Hello,
I googled a bit about and found this : https://help.ubuntu.com/community/RadeonDriver
The community version of the Radeon driver should work for your graphic card from 12.04 to 16.04
They list some commands to test the driver (perhaps a problem with it) : https://help.ubuntu.com/community/Radeo ... the_driver

Hi, Zorin 12 will have more up-to-date drivers than 11 - 11 is no longer supported, just like Ubuntu 15.10 on which it was built. ;) :D

thanks for your help now using the x.org driver still the same bit weird when zorin first installed it was fine
changed overnight this is the second time its happened would make you think that it would be an update
changing things think i will back up an upgrade to 12 see what happens
