Change partition size in Zorin 12 ..once it has been locked?

Is it possible to 'unlock' a partition once set to (LVM??) change its size?

I can't of chosen the LVM (?) option when installing Zorin 12 letting me adjust my partitions at a latter date. I have Zorin 12 looking pretty much perfect for me. However, I have just realised I can easily select a dedicated 'home' partition where currently Home folders are sitting in my Root partition.

Is it possible to kinda 'unlock' (Padlock showing next to the partition in GParted) to allow me to edit / add ??

I think you would need to use a live USB/DVD to do this not the OS running its self. Boot off the USB open Gparted and try it.

Of course make sure you have backed up your data first!
