Hi

I have installed Zorin 12 and downloaded and installed several software and personalised it and its looking great.

Now, thinking about it, during installation, when I selected partition type..I now realise that I could of designated another partion as 'Home' ..to have my home partition separated from the /'root' partition (am I right??).

Somehow, I chose the option not to change partion parameters (CVM ??) and now when I go into GParted .. beside each partition is a locked symbol. Is this because of that choice that I am unable to resize/create partitions??

In that case, is there any way I can 'unlock' the partions so I can make changes (unlock through GParted or manually through prompt?? I don't want to have to start from scratch and reinstall Zorin.

My goal is to shrink the current main partition and then create a new 'Home' partion.

Any thoughts?

Can you post an image of your Gparted screen with those locked symbols.
