ZorinOS12: Has the file manager mounted Shared folders.... ?

Dear all,

Using the built-in File manager of ZorinOS12, I have successfully connected and accessed Synology Diskstation shared folders:
e.g "home on hNAS3.local"
02_but_can see them all_when importing site manager settings.png

but...
both Filezilla3.15 and 3.23 cannot see them at all, see this screen capture:
01_Filezilla_can only see local folders.png

So I wonder if the file manager has "officially" mounted these Synology shared folders?
-> How to check these out?

Thanks for any kind of help!

Do you mean these?
http://zoringroup.com/blog
https://zorinos.com/help
-> but I get lost on any info related to my questions

I find that not only "Filezilla", but also Firefox, Opera, Notepadqq,...,and many non-built-in applications, cannot see my shared folders of Synology NAS!

Hope that there are some solutions to this problems!
I am checking if do the mounting thru command line can help....?

I was thinking more along the lines of the filezilla forums. Anyhow, I do remember responding to a recent post for networking of a printer attached to a windows machine and not all Samba packages are installed by default (I mention this because the article here:

http://serverfault.com/questions/44424/ ... -run-samba

mentions samba).

The other element might be the firewall in that you may need to disable it or better still create a rule that will allow the use of the ports needed for sharing. ;) :D

Dear Swarfendor,

It seems that it is not the firewall issues,
as my Google Chrome browser can see all the Synology Shared Folders

OK, I do think Samba is missing - I watched what happened with my recent failed reinstall of Zorin 12 and during the install process (the terminal entries that normally are hidden when it says. 'Copying files to disk' - I clicked on the arrow head to see what was going off - gparted gets removed, as does a lot of samba files - see if you get a better response after installing Samba via Synaptic Package Manager. ;) :D
