Post Install Issues in 12 Core

I installed 12 Core Today - facing the following issues

    Google Chrome is not getting installed - After downloading when I click install the blue status bar just starts and stops - Updated all software /OS and logged into super user
    Not getting any option to add program shortcuts to desktop
    I have 4 GB Ram and AMD 8350 Processor but system is being very slow from start - like taking 5-10 secs to start any software - even when only 1 app is running
    I am not finding some installed apps after installing - like installed Notepad QQ but its shows nowhere !

Can anybody share ideas how to solve them ?
Otherwise have to go back to using windows again...
