Simple question about automounting

Hi,

Does Zorin automount external devices (mp3 players, e-book readers etc.) and optical media? I hope you'll forgive this slightly ridiculous question, but I'm trying to find a simple system for a simple relative, and was disappointed to discover that the last OS I tried (Elementary OS) doesn't do automounting.

Thanks for your help.

Hi, it usually does recognise items attached to the machine but you may need to double-click to open an external hard drive to access it. Because of the change to gnome shell I think you would need to open your '/home' folder and then click on 'other locations' - the bottom item in the left pane of the 'explorer' window. ;) :D You should be able to check this out in 'live' mode too as it creates a temporary '/home' folder for 'live'.

I'll try out auto-mounting in the live mode. Thanks very much for the help and the suggestion.
