brightness and gparted

hello i'm ramdani,
new user of zorin,
just recently installed in acer,
1. when i change the level indicator of brightness, no effect at all.
the slider level is working, but no change of the brightness.
2.i cant find gparted.

i use zorin core 12.

Hi, There might be a specific fix for Acer I will need to get back to you on this one - end of lunch.

As for gparted I have noticed a lot of recent releases that it is present for install then deleted or not installed once the system is in place - I guess this is to stop people from running it and then losing their system!

Open a terminal (Ctrl+ Alt+ T) and enter:

sudo apt-get install gparted

If that doesn't work it may need it's full name:

sudo apt-get install gnome-partition-editor

Have you seen this for brightness
