Very frequently Zorin becomes unresponsive from changing the active window from Firefox. All other programs continue to run but i cannot access them.
Has anybody had and found a solution to this problem?

I am a little new to linux so please go easy on me.

Is this on Zorin 12? Can you use Alt + Tab to change windows? I had issue where Only clicking on the Title Bar or Header Bar would change windows (focus) for me, here https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EO0SGJgeXdw
I ended up reinstalling.

Yes this is Zorin 12 and it is up to date.I actually found the issue was caused by pandora.com and youtube.com. For a time i can alt+tab but after a while i cant even use my keyboard. Pressing ctrl+alt+F1 and coming back to the GUI causes my mouse to disappear and never return.

This is a custom build PC with an ASUS M5A97 LE R2.0 system board, AMD FX 4350 CPU, 16GB installed DDR3 RAM, GTX 750TI GPU. I actually did not run Zorin live on this machine before installing, I used a VM. I have installed Zorin 12 Core x64. Zorin is the only OS on this HDD.

I will now boot zorin live to see if anything changes.

*edit The issue does not imediatly appear in Zorin live. Strange considering i have already reinstalled once
*2nd edit even when viewing an MP4 file from my HDD it appears that i can move my mouse but it refuses to select anything. Keyboard still works 100%

Is the mouse wired or wireless? Are you using default graphics driver or nvidia drivers?

Wired mouse and proprietary Nvidia drivers.

Seems like a strange issue! Especially since you reinstalled once. Just thinking out loud here and what I would do/try myself if it was my machine having this problem.
What about when you run Zorin in the VM? Is it still just those 2 websites that cause the issue as you mentioned about MP4 file also?
You said this is the only OS on this HDD, do you have another OS (the VM host maybe) on another drive to verify that the mouse KB work OK?
And/or have you tried another Linux distro in live mode or installed and had no issue or same issue?

My first step would be to remove nvidia drivers - more problems than what they are worth.

Wow Proprietary drivers must be trash because after selecting the X.org driver for my graphics and "disabling" my CPU my problem has been solved. Thank you for your help!
