Updating from Zorin 12 ultimate to 12.1 - problems?

I just updated my system to 12.1 via latest updates and by running:

sudo apt install --install-recommends xserver-xorg-hwe-16.04

and got:

ERROR (dkms apport): kernel package linux-headers-4.8.0-42-generic is not supported
Error! Bad return status for module build on kernel: 4.8.0-42-generic (x86_64)
Consult /var/lib/dkms/ndiswrapper/1.59/build/make.log for more information.
ERROR (dkms apport): kernel package linux-headers-4.8.0-42-generic is not supported

Is this significant?

Also seem to have lost the Times New Roman font from Open Office around the same time – could this be related? I will raise a separate topic for this loss

Thanks F.P..

Hi, can you open Synaptic and follow the advice here:

I checked in Synaptic package manager:

appstream was there and was the latest version

lipsnapd-glib1 was not there at all (and looks difficult to source , based on a quick internet search)

gnome-software and gnome-software common were both not the latest standard - I updated them both to the latest standard

Is there any further action that I should take?

Thanks F.P.

P.S. I am already getting software from the main server

 sorry - typo on mypart; libsnapd-glib1. Mark them all for re-installation and Apply - that is how I solved my issue. ;) :D

libsnap-glib1 is the latest version in synaptic on my laptop, so I should be good to go.

Thanks again, Swarf.
