Hi,

Yesterday and oday I installed Zorin on a p4 3Ghz pc with 1 GB and an intel 865 gv graph chip. Especially the latter one of course is deadly for nice graphics. However, I was a bit shocked that Zoring Core performed dramatically and locked up in about 5 minutes. Is that Gnome 3 stuff (I disbaled the compiz effects) that heavy?

Ubuntu 11.10 with Unity ran fine on the machine. That's what puzzles me the most ;)

check the version you install ... make sure you install the 32 bit version

i forget the reason .. but I had the same issue on a P4 ... 32 bit works great though
