Hi,

My laptop (asus rog gl552vw) is connecting to router, but it cannot access to internet. I know i is not router issue, because PC with zorin 12 is connecting normaly. Also connecting laptop thru ethernet is not working.
When I run laptop thru usb Live stick everything works normaly.

I tryed to restart laptop, restart network-menager but it didn't help.
I tryed to change "loopback" to "dhcp" in /etc/network/interfaces file, but is also didn't help.

Any ideas what can be wrong?

Any help will be appreciate :)

Having issues trying to find a suitable answer to your query friend. You may want to try this thread:

https://rog.asus.com/forum/showthread.p ... 552VW-DH71

and state your issue is based on a fork of ubuntu 16.04. ;) :D

Swarfendor437, link which you gave me says what to do with graphic card, and actually I know that thread ;)
but it doesn't help with my issue...

Somewhere I found that reinstall of network drivers may fix issue, but I dont't know how to do that :/

Hi, if you can run a different distro that has network capability, this might be what you need:

https://askubuntu.com/questions/15211/s ... line#15214

As for the packages that tend to get missed it is something to do with ndiswrapper and the kernel that is present during live install.

Keep us posted! ;) :D

Hi,
I just found solution.
I'm embarrassed now, because it turns out that Firewall was problem, but I don't understand, why rules which I made don't work after system restart. When I remove all rules and add them again, everything works perfectly, but after restart, again the same...
Anyway, Thank you Swarfendor437 for your help :)
