Music files via USB to an Android phone - Marshmallow

Surprisingly, in this day and age, transmitting music files from Zorin 12 Ultimate to an Android phone via USB seems a lot more difficult than was the case with earlier phones.

Once upon a time, with Windows, file manager was all that you needed. For Linux - I don't know - it seems to drive Nautilus nuts.

Does anyone know the secret, please?

Hi, I have a 1+3T so have to disagree. I use Clementine music player on Zorin and VLC (2.0.6) on the phone. What I like is the fact that playlist index files created in Clementine can readily be used in VLC.
