strange icon

Hi there,

I have a laptop and when a click on the group of icons right under there is a strange icon, see screenshot:

When i click on it it will have a lock, see screenshot:

Where is this for and what does it do?

Hi Swarfendor437,

It is a Zorin OS 12.1 Core version and no this is not after a update.

Looks like a 'restart' button to me. I booted up a live session of 12.1 Core on my old laptop, same button was present, clicked on it then Zorin had an 'Internal Error', when I clicked the panel again it had the lock on the icon, so I clicked it again and the lock disappeared, just seems to toggle the lock icon off and on and not do anything else that I can see.
I restarted the machine and did it again but clicked a few other things first to see if the Internal Error happened again, no error message but same behavior from that button.
Went to do same test in my old 'test rig' which is a desktop PC but the icon was not present at all. Maybe to do with power settings for the lid but cant help beyond that.
