(SOLVED) Gnome Shell Integration

I have had a notification, which has only stayed for a short time, several times. The last time it stayed, so I could read it (It seemed to be a little cryptic to me).

It was:

“Gnome Shell Integration
Failed to check GNOME Shell extensions updates HTTPSCo......”

I have no idea how you get it to give me the rest of the message - or whether there is anything I can do to resolve the issue.

Does anyone know what I should do?

Did you browser the internet when this occured and which browser?

I reopened the lid of my laptop to restart the session.

I was not browsing, but Slimjet was open and minimised - also Kodi open and minimised.

Ok, put this on your url-row in slimjet..
Code:
slimjet://extensions

then press settings.

Do you happen to have tap in the Check for GNOME Shell extensions update: ?
If yes i think slimjet just happened to failed to check for extension updates and nothing more.

You have to install siverlight extensions for Chrome so you get integrated with this site:

https://extensions.gnome.org/

I had already followed your guidance on Gnome shell extensions, Swarf.

Qnarkill, No sign of "settings" after entering slimjet://extension into slimjet. I got:

"The web page at chrome://extension/ might be temporarily down or it may have moved permanently to a new web address."

I have added the extension "Silverlight for Web 1.2" to Slimjet - so I am expecting no further notifications - Hopefully! If none show, I will close this thread.

Thanks all.

I now see something like your screenshot Qnarkill - Gnome shell integration enabled - but under chrome://extensions/ rather than slimjet://extensions/.

I also found the options you mentioned:
Check for GNOME Shell extensions update:
Yes (ticked) No
Last check: 24/08/2017, 10:13:09
Update check period:

6
hours
Next check: 26/08/2017, 23:02:17

I guess all is OK now - thanks.
