NVIDIA Resolution 640x480

I just installed the NVIDIA drivers from their website because I wanted my full resolution (1360x768) but now instead of 1024x768 I'm stuck on 640x480...

I have no idea how to fix this, and it's getting really irritating :oops:

Can someone please help me?

Can you open a terminal (Ctrl+ Alt+ T) and enter:

Code:: sudo purge nvidia

?

Can you provide us with more detail please as to the type of Graphics card/chipset? If this is a Notebook with a hybrid Intel/nVidia chip this will be the cause which is down to hardware manufacturers not wanting GNU/Linux on their rigs!
