[SOLVED] Zorin 3. 32 bit sun-java6-plugin will not show/work

Hello I need java6 not icedtea. I have it installed but will not work or show
up in tools add-on. How to fix.

What I did is install icedtea6-plugin not just icedtea-plugin

sudo apt-get install sun-java6-jre

Paste the above command in a terminal, it should sort you out.

Hi 007,

if Java is already install, I would say then that you should remove "icedtea" and see if that helps!!. Remove it via Synaptic!!.

Another option is to check that the mozilla java plugin is installed, if not:

sudo apt-get install sun-java6-plugin

open Firefox and go to Tools > Addons > Plugins and disable "Icedtea". !!!!!.

All I had to do is add icedtea6-plugin. Not just icedtea-plugin.
