Title pretty much sum it up ... :|

Installed bumblebee just to see how it worked , rebooted as required , now its stuck on the boot sequence process :|

It loads on terminal mode, last 4 lines i see before it gets stuck are

OK Started D/Bus System Message Bus (deputy systemd dummy).
OK Started Snappy daemon.
OK reached target Multi/User System.
OK Reached target Graphical Interface.

After the last line all i see is the blinking -

Dualbooting using win10 and zorinOS9 . My MOBO has an intel integrated graphics card plus one dedicated Nvidia 970

Where should i start :?:

hi messing with drivers is tricky business. sure Swarf will pick up yr question but I can offer you now the 'troubleshooting' of bumblebee for your reading.

Thank you very much ;-)

Main problem was... i jumped on it without even reading what it was.... meaning... i installed an un-maintaned app ( last updated was on 2013 ) targeting dual-gpu laptops .... on a desktop computer

Finally managed to login into my desktop by removing the Nvidia card , hooking my screen to the hdmi connector on the MOBO and... magic !

For some strange reason it doesn't allow me to log in into my regular DE  ... good thing i had more DE installed... selected OpenBox... logged in... and here i am :) .

Just typed this on a terminal

Code:
sudo apt-get install ppa-purge
sudo ppa-purge ppa:bumblebee/stable
sudo apt-get purge bumblebee

Going to reboot... hopefully i'll be able to tell you later if it worked :)

Thanks-a-zillion for the support & kindness !! ^__^

Here i am !! In other words.... it worked !!! Finally able to log into my usual DE; drivers aren't optimized, but now i just need to re-install Nvidia drivers and everything will be finally fixed :) .

Fortunately it was easier than it looked.

Thanks again !!

Was posting this when I got interrupted with your post that it was fixed - any how - another useful link below! ;) :D

Can you boot to the GRUB menu at all and select failsafe mode?

Take a look here:

Yes, i was able to go into failsafe mode ... that's when it suddenly printed the booting sequence on the screen with those aforementioned 4 lines i pasted on my initial message... then it got stuck there for some strange reason :/ .

Oh well... it was clearly some issue with the Nvidia card & bumblebee so at least it was easy to fix :) .

Thanks again & have a nice week-start everybody !
