Dear all,
* Assumes
# Client PC: ZorinOS12.2 (updated from v12.1 after installation of Zorin-OS-12.1-Core-64.iso ), AsRock J3160 mini-ITX, 8GB Ram, 120GB-SSD
# NAS Server: Synology Diskstation DS716+II, with DSM 6.1.3-15152 Update 1
I have successfully mounted Synology shared folders (e.g "folder01") to my Client PC thru ZorinOS's default file manager "Nautilus" by the following steps:
# In left -panel of the file manager, click on "+ Other locations" -> "NAS3" (the name of Synology NAS Server) -> "folder01"
# double click on "folder01"
# "folder01" is now mounted and can be accessed thru the file manager: browse arround, copy and paste files, add or delete files or folders are all working properly
However, it's weired that Google Chrome CANNOT SEE "folder01" and I have no ways to save downloaded files directly into folder01 or its sub-directories! I have to save them to a local folder first, e.g. "download", and then copy them to folder01.
After checking on several browsers, it is found that:
# Google Chrome63.0.3239.132 --------- No (cannot see Synology shared folders)
# Firefox57.0.4 ------------------------------- No
# Vivaldi1.13.1008.44 ---------------------- No
# Opera43.0.2442.806 --------------------- Yes
So what's wrong?
and what should I do to let Google Chrome see Synology NAS Shared folders?
Thanks for any kinds of help!
