i bought as new a packard bell dot S2
got a SSD kingston still need to upgrade to 2 gbt in memory
would zorin os lite be good system or are there other netbook linux systems

You should be OK with Zorin Lite but remember you will be limited to 32-bit distros. You could also give SolydX Stable Community edition. Another nice distros for speed of install and being lightweight and like SolydX is PAE free is AntiX-17 which was on the cover of last month's LXF.
