NIVIDIA freezes my screen

"Houston, I have a problem!" I installed Zorin on a laptop. In 'Apps and updates - additional driver' it was proposed to use the NIVIDIA driver. That was obviusly a mistake!
Now there is something strange with my screen. I see the menu just for a second when I boot Zorin and then I have just the background image, not menu - but at least the mouse moves.
When I login again, I have the menu for a second, but I can't select or enter anything.

Does anyone have a idea how to go back to this setup part and change it back? Grrrrr!

Boot into GRUB by holding Left shift key at boot time, then choose the Advanced Options to boot to 'safe mode' - once in, go to 'additional drivers' and select 'nouveau'. ;) :D
