[RESOLVED] cannot compress folder with files

I am trying to compress files with engrampa %U , have uninstalled the default zorin lite app previouly (according what was talked in here viewtopic.php?f=5&t=13863), now I cannot compress folders containing files in zip format, it creates a temp file and it desapears.

I am sorry for this post, I have found a solution right now , I think the problem is mine not knowing how to use the tool , comming from a long journey with "winrar" under windows.

The trick in linux is to select all the files you want to compress, right click (contextual menu) compress file , it will create a zip file that you can extract anywere and it will create a folder with the same name of the original folder that holds the original files.
