Lost Printer Driver

I have toyed with Linux before, however, I do want to divorce myself
from MicroGates. :D

Zorin 12, is a please surprise. :D

For some reason, the printer driver simply disappeared. I did find the required PPF
and downloaded it to Zorin. I have tried to install it and have not been able.

Also, the driver for the scanner is lost as well.

BTW, I did extract the file but again I have not been able to get the file on the HDD.

Thank you for any helf.

Some more information about your device please, like make and model would be of great help! ;) :D

Thank you, Swarfendor, for your quick reply. :D

It is a Xerox 6180N. I noticed while it was still working
that the dialogue box indicated the correct model number
but in another area it listed a 6180MXH, which is not the
model number. :?:

Again, I do not know why the print function lost it's drivers. :o

BTW, nice work on the many wallpaper design. :!: :!:

Oh, I should add that I went into the terminal and entered the
correct command. On the second line it wanted my password
but I could not enter anything, as if the keyboard was not functioning.

When I downloaded this OS, I did not verify that it was not corrupted in any
way, since once again, I could not understand the instruction given.

Perhaps, this has lead to the current issues. :?:

I think I have a lot of work ahead, to make linux great again.

Hi, when in terminal you will not see any dots or other indication of your password; it is always blank for security. ;) :D

Hi, you should not have to download any proprietary driver as it is already in the OS's Printer database:

The terminal still does not function. Swarfendor, I did see that dialogue box when I did the
installation; listing all of the printers with drivers. I went back to OS 7 and the printer worked.

Too many issue!! Rather than spending countless hours trying to find a fix
I will do a fresh install. If that one malfunctions, then I am done with Zorin.

Thank you for your helf.
