Glitches/Bug AMD Radeon x600

Hi,
I installed Zorin OS 12.3 Ultimate x64 on the PC Dell Optiplex GX620. (CPU: Intel Pentium 4 HT 3Ghz x64, 3GB Ram, AMD Radeon x600)
So there is many glitches and bugs on the display, I tried Ubuntu 18.10 Beta and there isn't a bug/glitch with the display, it's very smooth. So the problem is just with Zorin OS 12, how can I solve it? (I tried Additional drivers but I found nothing).

ATi/AMD (Radeon) no longer supply additional drivers - it is all contained in the kernel. Have you updated the system since install? All 12.3 versions of Zorin will update to 12.4 through Software Updater. It could be it needs a newer kernel? ;)

Mhm, I didn't updated Zorin to the 12.4, I will try it first. So, I'm asking currently why Ubuntu 18.10 works perfectly with the Radeon x600 and not Zorin 12... This GPU (Radeon x600) works perfectly with Windows XP, Vista, 7, 8,1, 10, Ubuntu 18.10.

It could be something to do with Ubuntu 16.04.3? Zorin's next major release is due this Fall/Autumn and will be based on 18.04. ;) :D

Hi

I checked and the kernel is not the reason for missing out your drivers.
however Canonical has over 400 staff focusing mainly on Ubuntu, not so for Zorin but developers are guaranteed to succeed in line with own policy as explained by swarfendor437.

Mhm, if I understand, the bug with my GPU will be fixed with Ubuntu 18.04 (so the next major version of Zorin).
I can't work or just view my desktop of Zorin due to many glitches/bug on the screen. :/

Help please! I have still the problem and I can't solve this! :/ I want to have Zorin in this computer but Zorin is not compatible with! Oh and when the next major version of ZorinOS will be released? (I want if possible an ISO of the Pre-Alpha version or the Alpha version or the Beta version, I want any new version of Zorin to try it and install on the computer that is not compatible with ZorinOS 12)

If 18.04 solves the issue and you really can't wait for another 6-8 weeks (possibly more) try Feren OS as it is based on 18.04. ;) :D
