Hi,

Does anyone know if on Zorin Lite, usb-audio is compiled into the kernel?
If not, Does anyone know a decent description somewhere on how to achieve this?

Thia.

Hi Eric,

you could try installing the packages "paman" and "libsox-fmt-all", these are both Pulse audio packages and work well with my PC's.

Paman gives you a separate volume controller to the normal Gnome Volume Controller.

I agree. Pulse audio manager is the best choice (previous name PolyAudio).

It even gives you the option to switch off one of the two channels of the microphone (which you might need in case your microphone does not work).

You can download it from ubuntu software center.
