OK, I am waiting for the next release of Zorin so not got a hard drive install at moment. Tested the large cursors in 12.4 and it works - does not break machine. Have 12.4 Core running in VM.
What you need to do first is:
1. Update system
2. Install Synaptic Package Manager
3. Search for Gnome Tweak-Tool, Mark for Installation, then Apply.
4. Download the large cursor file from the hyperlink posted in 'The Accessibility Thread' given in response above.
5. Extract the tarball using Zorin's Archive Manager in the downloads folder - this should create something called 'Large Mouse Cursors'
6. You need to open a terminal, navigate to 'usr | share'
7. Take ownership of the icons folder:
- Code:
sudo chown [username] icons
- you will be asked for your login password to elevate to root (admin priveleges)
8. Copy and paste the 'Large Mouse Cursors' folder into the 'Icons' folder.
9. Launch Tweak Tool <Menu | Utiliities | Tweak Tool) and go to:
Appearance - use the drop-down arrow at the end of the line next to Cursors and select 'Large Mouse Cursors' and voila:
If you want to browse for a different theme of cursor, visit this page at gnome-look.org - but be sure to inspect the package before unpacking:
